un/seen: an original production
Three generations
the wake of a fictional pandemic
the invisible threads of kindred spirits
From local writer and Portland artist, erin rachel (creator of Dream Bigger, 2019) comes a new theatrical experiment. Told by a single storyteller with a cinematic soundtrack, this innovative piece follows three generations in the wake of a fictional pandemic and weaves invisible threads of kindred spirits that guide us home. Each performance will be a unique experience, as the audience will be invited to consider the possibilities that become clear when we begin to perceive the magic in the everyday.
This is a story about endings and beginnings, but it’s really a story about life, what we see, and the choices we might make if we knew the time we have left.
un/seen premiered in April 2024 as an emergent new work during the 2024 Fertile Ground Festival.
